Every other year all the women and children gather at my mum's house to make pie.

Loads and loads of Pie (isn't Nicole lovely?)

We start by mixing up the pie crust dough

Only, go easy on the dough - you don't want to over work it.

We each wore our favorite aprons that grandma had made for us.

And then made and filled several pies.

Everyone helped. Even the littles.

We made Apple, Blueberry, Raspberry, Pioneer Woman's Dreamy Apple Pie,

Compulsive's Sour Cream Lemon, Carina's Coconut Cream, and

of course, Pumpkin.

So tell me, do you do pie? What flavors?

Our Thanksgiving feast was bountiful and lovely. I hope yours was too.

I love to bake, but I have only made one pie in my life. Pumpkin. Pies sort of intimidate me.

What a great tradition! And one that the women-folk in your family will remember forever!

I am not a pie kind of girl. If I do, I don't eat the crust. Weird, I know!

I love to eat pie, but I don't bake it much. It's a lot of work! My sister makes the best apple pie in the universe, but it calls for two ingredients that you have to special order, and since I never do, I can't make it. I guess I'll leave the pie making to everyone else!
