Lovely beach photos

We made it to the beach today, after much effort was expended in our behalf to get a replica of Ty's wheelchair to try in the configuration of vehicle we'd really love finding (fingers crossed) "the one" true vehicle. Seriously, the owner of this place has really gone out of his way to help us. I love people like that.

We decided to try a new beach and had never been to Doheny Beach of Beach Boy fame. And get this, you can camp there - right ON THE BEACH. We may just have to try that.

We enjoyed all the pelican dive-bombers

In fact, we saw this scene repeated just about every 30 seconds.

All those white dots are sea gulls and they are thinking to themselves, "Fool! (because they sound like Mr. T when they think) Don't you know nothin' - the sand is where the food be!"

There was the usual crashing of surf

The unusual Posse of Pelicans

Promise!

Loved it when this kite showed up - it's a little ironic, right?

Palm trees. Sigh. See also: swoon.

Fool!

This sign is so hard to read you practically have to "Get On" to know to "Keep Off"

There was a wedding party at a large gazebo near by - they were not fazed by the shirtless geezer rockin out at full volume to the tunes on his iPod, the family volleyball game, nor the uninvited guests showing more skin than is expected at a wedding.

This is her Seriously, another picture? face

Even though we were late in catching some sun, I still managed to "pink up" my ears. I <3 me some Vitamin D, and even though I love my fireplace, hot chocolate, and the mountains in full color, I am really going to mourn Summer's passing.

This is THE beach that I run by every day when I stay at Capistrano Beach (1/2 block south). Isn't it the best?! Glad you had time to experience it along with the sun...

So beautiful! This reminds me of when I was younger and my family went camping on the beach in Capistrano. It was so great.

Wonderful photos! What a nice last hurrah. So is the vehicle going to work out? I hope so.

I think it will work out and if it does, we'll go back in two weeks for one more last hurrah. I love hurrah-ing!
