Ground Control to Major Tom

We're experiencing technical difficulties here with spotty ISP coverage through next week - fingers crossed.

Get this, we've been paying for the Ultra-Premium, Very Especially High Velocity, So Fast You'll think You've Gone Nuclear Internet Package, but what we've got is the I'm Going Through A Tunnel, Can You Hear Me Now? How About Now? (But In No Way Affiliated With Those Cell Phone People) Package.

Lightning fast speeds of 1000 kbps, pings of 170 mbps - Whuh? But usually, mostly no internet at all. (They tell us we should be getting 6 or 7000) And what are computers for if you cannot instantly access any number of things you might desire, or follow your peeps, or blog-read, or you-tube video watch, or house-hunt (goodness there are a lot of bargains out there), or, or, or.....

Somehow balancing the checkbook in Quickbooks is not quite the same thing (especially when you cannot download anything from your bank).

The last thing I'm going to say, before the internet access completely goes AWOL, is this -

Something very super wonderful has happened for my kids (and me) and we are so excited we can hardly contain it! Also, there are some absolutely lovely people out there, and to you we say THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH!!! Also, there will be much picture taking involved.

Computer troubles are so frustrating! I've had so much time off this week that I almost can't remember what blogging is anymore. I'm sure I'll figure it out soon.

I can't wait to hear the good news!

My ISP service (Digis)was terrible for a couple weeks and I was ready to drop them. Then I didn't have any service, computer or phone for a whole day. I was MAD. Then I found out the kids had unplugged the box in the basement. Since we replugged it in it has worked perfectly. Try unplugging it just for kicks.

I can't believe I missed your birthday! I hope you had an amazing one. I'm taking you out to dinner, and I'm paying this time!

Chris - we missed you, it's just not the same! Linda would be proud/relieved - my trees are finally getting done.

Family G - same ISP for us, only they haven't a clue what's going haywire and I'm growing tired of waiting for them to figure it out. Consider the dinner idea a date!
