Last One - pinky promise

Let me preface this post with the disclaimer that I am the most conservative person I know (when it comes to fashion). In fact, I've never owned a pair of red shoes, let alone a pair of shiny, red shoes. But. I tried these shoes on, decided they weren't at all practical, and left them behind.

And then I thought about them for two days. I mean they were so shiny! And red! And so hot I even wanted to take me out. And did I mention they're shiny?

What is wrong with me?

I couldn't resist the pull and they now reside in my closet. While I may require a class on how to walk in them so I don't look like Wanda Wiggins, I will admit that I am more than a little smitten. And they do go perfectly with my polish.

Anyway, that's it. I promise. No more shoe pictures.

They look good! I'm known around here for my red shoes. I have red slippers, red suede shoes, red high heels (Those received quite the array of looks when I first wore them to church. I guess SOME people didn't think they were appropriate for a bishop's wife to wear) Now I'm looking for the perfect pair of red flats and red sandals. :D

Very cute! I only wear heels to church....and with the nursery calling, I never even wear them!

LOVED the video!!!! The Carol Burnett show was the best show ever! Funny thing, watching that clip I finally realized who Kate Gosselin has reminded me of forever (in looks only)....Carol Burnett.

ComC - Red is a fabulous color on you, even a bishop's wife needs a little splash of color in her life.

b - I loved that show, they had the best comedic timing. Remember that skit where Tim C. was the mini-me? Hi to the larious!

boob nazi - you sort of got me started looking, so thanks!

Shawn - What? No heels?

Andrea - I can see the resemblance.

Ok, so I just found you today through the my topography self-portrait challenge, and I love your blog! I don't even know you, so I hope you'll forgive my saying so, but I don't believe for a second that this is the last shoe pic I will see here! :) And I'm so thankful for that because I look forward to the next one! These red ones are hot and I'm so glad you gave yourself a couple days to think about them before going back for them so you could be sure about them. I do that, too, and when I can't stop thinking about something for a couple days or weeks, I know the right thing is to get it.

Anyway, looking forward to more!

When I lose another twenty pounds or so I'm rewarding myself with a pair of high heeled red boots. SHINY ones.

There's something about red...
