Garden Goodness

Talk about the garden. A little progress is good for the soul. In the triangle we have zucchini, sugar baby watermelons, butternut squash, goldbar squash and sugar snap peas

Summer squash (already have a few on this one)

Sequoia Strawberries (we're getting a bowlful every morning and making smoothies with our homemade yogurt - yum!)

Roma tomatoes

Bell peppers

Peas, glorious peas

Zucchini (got smart and only planted one this year)

Sensory garden addition - cosmos

and Sarah Bernhardt peonies

heavenly to smell

and behold

Your garden is beautiful and even looks weed-free! Our altitude is keeping us at a slow-growth pace but July and August should be heavenly...

We have corn, carrots, tomatoes, sugar snap peas, cabbage, pumpkins, one zucchini, garlic and onions. We also have one potato plant growing from some rotting potatoes I tossed out into a planter, and we get blackberries just outside our back fence in the summer too. Oh, and there is a constant encroachment of Morning Glories trying to grow since this is the first year for a garden at this house, and we just tilled under part of our yard. The weeds are horrible!
Your garden beds look lovely. We are hoping to be out of debt next year and will build some raised beds then.

In the garden in my mind, I would have tons of fruit.

Amazing- I'll be checking back to see the progress! Our little seeds are not quite even out of the ground and my yellow squash is MIA.

So beautiful!

Oh, I am so jealous. All my veggies died in their peat pots because we never got the garden boxes built. I have a few flowers, the delphinium is doing the best. My roses came back after I hacked them all down, but I need to get rid of the aphids. I have some pretty flowers in my big pots on the deck. So it's not all death, destruction, and dog poop around here!

I need some lessons from you Mrs. Green thumb!

The only green thumb I have is due to a sprinkler system. If I had to remember to water it, it'd be a wasteland in no time.

You reminded me of my promises for the last week to post photos of how our garden is coming along. So I'm off outside with the camera RIGHT NOW!
