On my nerves

This week I went through a nerve study. I only had one abnormal result and it's not related to my neck issues. For some reason my left pinkie finger doesn't conduct impulses, and yet I can still feel everything just fine.

Part of this test was no fun at all and involved having needles poked into my nerves/muscles and then having a charge run through them. The needles were the no fun part (especially when he had to put one in on each side of each disc in my neck). My muscles are sore today, especially in my left hand since one of the needle sites bled internally. I have a lovely purpley-brown palm, but no nerve damage. Sweet! This means that maybe the pinched nerve will eventually chill out and life will go back to normal. It also means I can stop obsessing about the numbness in my hands unless it worsens.

Yesterday I cleaned multiple surfaces in my house that were in desperate need of attention and only paid for it a little bit. My best hours are between 10 and 2. Today I worked in the yard, and that is better than therapy. I only raked up some leaves in the side yard and pruned back one of the wisteria vines, but I was outside and the sun was shining. Next up, actual exercise.

The windows are open. Yes!
