They're on to me

I picked up some last minute groceries tonight, and as my daughter helped me unload them her eyes got really big, "Are we having a party?"

"Why do you ask?"

"Well, when you buy candy something is different."

"Meaning?"

"We must be having people over. When's the party?"

Ohhh, she's good. Not much gets by her. We are planning on taking two of them on a little surprise road trip with us. I purchased the goodies (healthy and non-healthy) for in the car.

Tell me, why is it that all the healthy snacks (carrots, celery, apples, etc) are also the loudest? My ears are snap, crackle, popping already with apprehension.

I am definitely taking earplugs headphones on this trip.

In other news - still no make-up for my poor, puffy eyes. The doctor had a momentary stumble in his professionalism when he first saw them (a little jaw-dropping does wonders for the self-esteem). I am now on my third prescription for eye drops - wish me luck.

My eyelids are dry and patchy (sort of like eczema) from all the rubbing and the eye-dropping. Do any of you have product suggestions to help bring them back somewhere into the realm of normalcy?
