I wanna be a BAP

The world's cutest 5 year old lives just behind me and occasionally comes over to hang out with Ellie. Do you know I actually dreamt about him 2 days before he was born (only I mistook him for one of my unborn kidlets).

The other day the two of them were playing with Play-do when little T~ pipes up, When I grow up I wanna be a dad and a vet.

Oh, what does a vet do?

He makes dogs and cats and othow animals get bettow.

My little Ellie, not wanting to be left out of the conversation, chimes in with I wanna be a bap!

Little T~ and I look at each other and I say, I don't know what that is.

He gets this very perplexed look on his face and says, I weally don't know eithow.

Ellie tries to explain that it is something in scary movies and it is black and can fly.

Little T~ snickers Oh you mean a bat? You can't be that.

Holding up claw-like fingers, Then I wanna be a witch.

No, no you can't be that eithow, you haff ta be something that wokes. Ya haff ta do a job that gets paid.

(Well then, I think I'd better reevaluate my career path - not much pay in witching).

Later that day, T~ is watching me put Ellie's hair into pig tails. Mrs. O. you know what would be really cute? If you put her haiyo into a side ponytayo. All of it, on the side of her head like this (he demonstrates).

Because on Napoleon Dynamite there is this weally cute girl named Debbie and that's how she wayos her haiyo. Sometimes they call hoh Deb. Anyway you should do that with Ellie's haiyo.

I can't tell you how much I love that kid.
